A study conducted by Semenza et al .[ 18 ] reported a significantly increased risk for breast cancer in premenopausal women with the MTHFR 677 TT genotype, also Chen et al .,[ 29 ] observed a higher MTHFR 677 TT frequency in breast cancer cases than in controls, though this difference was borderline significant.
