We detected a highly significant enrichment of SB insertions within 100 bp of the motifs ( Figure 6 ), consistent with a tethering mechanism, in which the transpositional complex is anchored to certain chromosomal sites bound by excess transposase molecules ( Supplementary Figure S7 ).
