In the subgroup of patients with low-risk hormone receptor-positive disease (defined as one or none of the following risk factors: disease-free interval ⩽24 months; visceral metastases; prior anthracycline and/or taxane; or ⩾3 metastatic organ sites), there was a nonsignificant trend in OS favouring BEV–CAP.
