The marginally significant group effect (F(2, 27) = 2.6, p = 0.09) was due to a reduced pre-stimulus alpha activity in the cc compared to the mc group (t(22) = 2.7, p < 0.01; one-tailed) and the dc group (t(16) = 1.9, p < 0.04; one-tailed; Fig. 2d ).
