After adjusting for age, sex, intervention group, and lifestyle variables, including intake of relevant foods and nutrients, participants consuming at least 500 mg/day of EPA plus DHA had borderline significant reduction of SCD risk by 52% and significant reductions of fatal CVD and CHD by 39% and 46%, respectively.
