When we compared with the cooperative behavior measures from those with experience with work groups that did not regularly cook with the set of measures for the respondents’ current work groups, the difference was highly significant, t (165) = 17.4, p < .001, such that officers reported much more cooperative behavior within units that routinely cook and eat together when compared with those that do not engage in commensality.
