The models suggested a somewhat degenerated PxxP binding groove, which may suggest lack of binding ability to this type of sequence, as well as conservation of exposed surfaces of strands β2 and β3, which may be significant for binding paramyosin, as this region has been shown to bind α-helical motifs in Pex13p SH3 and p47 phox .
