The distribution of CYP2C9*2 (chi square: 34.93 at 1 d.f.) and CYP2C9*3 (chi square: 32.49 at 1 d.f.) genotypes in the controls showed deviation from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) while that of CYP2C19*2 (chi square: 3.22 at 1 d.f.) was in HWE, though at a borderline significance.
