Recent pathotyping results indicated that the Korean race K1 has shown a decreasing trend in infection by the spread of rice cultivars with Xa1 and Xa3 genes, whereas races K2 and K3 have increased their pathogenicity in Korea (Kim et al. 2009 ; Noh et al. 2007 ; Shin et al. 1992 ).
