Genome-wide peak co-association Since finding the CCAAT box motif enriched in peaks for TFs other than NF-Y, by itself, is no guarantee of in vivo NF-Y binding, we also determined, for each data set, the actual association of the TF studied with NF-Y by crossing its ChIP-Seq peak coordinates with the ones of both NF-YA and NF-YB in the same cell line, and assessing if the overlap could be considered significant, i.e. widespread genome-wide.
