Using the poor non-responsive fields in cluster 1 as the base category in the multinomial logit shows that increasing soil Ca:Mg ratio is highly significant and increasing Zn, S, B and Na and simultaneously decreasing Al concentrations is significant (P < 0.05) in order to translate the poor non-responsive fields to the highly N responsive category of cluster 4.
