Similar studies conducted in other parts of Maharashtra showed an increasing trend of dental caries.[ 4 ] Malocclusion has a negative impact on the oral health-related quality of life in children.[ 11 ] Orthodontic treatment is more effective if diagnosed and intercepted in early stages of life; hence, this study was conducted to meet such needs.
