14 This study, like others has demonstrated a highly significant association between advancing year of medical education and increased knowledge of students on CAM. 15 , 18 Arguably, advancing year and knowledge are covariates, however, the effect of year of study on knowledge about CAM observed in the current study could be attributed to the 3rd and 4th years having more years of a community based education and service (COBES), an academic programme in this university during which students spend at least 4 weeks in a rural health facility where they effectively interact with the prevailing health systems.
