Flow cytometry measurement of the cells showed that while in the XFS cells the total arrest of autophagic flux by chloroquine caused a 30.1% (p = 0.19) increase in accumulated dye, in the POAG cells, chloroquine caused a 65.1% (p = 0.0003) increase in Cyto-ID fluorescence, which was highly significant ( Fig 6F ).
