Correlation analysis showed that reduced adaptive coding in the right caudate correlated with symptom severity as determined with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) total score ( r s =−0.520, P =0.005, Bonferroni adjusted P =0.020), reflected in a highly significant negative correlation in the patient group ( Figure 3 ).
