The group of patients with higher (worse prognosis) Palliative prognostic score had a significantly shorter survival.[ 14 ] In another study, the Palliative prognostic score was used to divide 44 patients with nonresectable stomach cancer receiving chemotherapy into three groups with highly significant difference in survival.[ 15 ] The results of these two studies assessing the Palliative prognostic score prognostic value, and our results are encouraging and suggest that validated Palliative prognostic models may be helpful in selecting patients with relatively longer survival for whom PSAT may be of benefit.
