The magnitude of the effects observed in the current study also serve as a salient reminder that universal SEL interventions are by no means a panacea, and should instead form part of a tiered approach to prevention that incorporates appropriate selective and targeted interventions in order to trigger more clinically and practically significant changes in outcomes.
