Sleep disturbances were reported by 54% to 65% of women in the five countries, vaginal dryness was experienced by 32% to 45%, and sexual dysfunction was reported by 13% to 24%. In terms of women’s current experience of menopausal symptoms, the prevalence of hot flushes showed an overall trend of diminishing with age; however, women in France exhibited a higher prevalence of hot flushes at ages 55 to 64 years compared with ages 45 to 54 years ( Figure 2(a) ).
