Using this approach, we were able to estimate the underlying probability distribution for quantities required by each hypothesis (e.g., eigenvalues, correlations, etc.), thus demonstrating that the predicted dynamical anisotropy is very highly significant in each case individually (Figs 6 – 9 ), without the need for conventional significance testing.
