Regardless of these minor variations between species in the two regions, a paired t ‐test comparing the degree of spatial overlap across years in inland vs coastal regions among the six species was highly significant ( t 5 = −14.07, P < 0.001), with all species having a much higher degree of between‐year overlap in coastal areas (0.73–0.80) than inland (0.44–0.69).
