In Group I, a persistent 10–15% decline (but nonsignificant) in value of CBG levels was noted at 15 min and thereafter there was a persistent increase in levels at all intervals while in Group II, there was increase in CBG levels at all intervals as the surgery progressed and found to be highly significant.
