Finally citations significantly decline with title length in ten of the eleven UoAs, with the impact almost significant at the 10 % level in the eleventh. 8 As an example of the size of impact, doubling the title length and using a question mark reduces the number of citations by 15.9 and 19.0 respectively for Clinical Medicine. 9 The impact in some other disciplines is much less, but so too are the average number of citations as shown in Table 2 .
