Relations of proteasomal inhibition with protein half‐lives Examination of the list of synaptic proteins whose degradation was most strongly affected by lactacystin and epoxomicin reveals an interesting trend: Practically, all of these—NEDD4, Neurochondrin, SAP102/Dlg3, GluA2, Neurabin‐1—were previously shown to be particularly short‐lived when compared to the typical half‐lives of synaptic proteins (Cohen et al , 2013 ).
