Pearson correlation tests showed that there was a close and highly significant relationship between hippocampal SUVr and escape latency ( r = −0.78, p = 0.001) and percentage of path in the target area ( r = 0.81, p < 0.001) ( Figure 5 ), suggesting a notable correlation between changes in hippocampal glucose and changes in Alzheimer’s cognition after the onset of symptoms.
