Although the ORs were borderline significant, the magnitudes were high, with a fourfold increase for GBC cases compared to combined gallstone and population‐based controls and a 3.1‐fold and 5.6‐fold increase, respectively, for GBC cases compared separately to gallstone controls and population‐based controls.
