In agreement with a direct modulation of Aldh1a3 expression by Sam68, we also observed a highly significant correlation between expression of these genes in post-natal brain, with highest levels of both transcripts in olfactory bulb and cerebellum and lowest expression in the hypothalamus ( Figure 6E ).
