An overall trend in keeping with an increased sphere formation among Pax7 high and Sox2 high PAs was detected, which fostered the development of our framework in which a distinct population of cells within PAs across all subtypes have an enhanced ability for sphere formation, which may be regulated by the re-expression of genes present during pituitary development.
