A novel finding of this study was the significant impact of the desks on children’s sitting patterns in the classroom (i.e., less time spent in long sitting bouts and higher frequency of sit-to-stand transitions compared to the controls) and a positive trend towards higher standing and stepping (i.e., LPA).
