For both maternal and paternal age, global methylation differences between ART and controls, as measured by both LUMA and LINE1 , were highly significant in the younger parental age group (≤35 years), suggesting that the difference in methylation between ART and control groups (Additional file 1 ) is not a result of the older average age of ART patients.
