We observe a strong and highly significant reduction in H3K9me2 signals in maternal pronuclei when overexpressing H3.1-GFPT11A and H3.2-GFPT11A (reduction in about 70 and 30%, respectively) but no change in both pronuclei when overexpressing H3.3-GFPT11A (Fig. 5 a, b).
