After excluding vascular etiology or previous cardiovascular events, the relation between hypertension and etiology lost its statistical significance, although a positive trend (PRa 2.11, 95% CI 0.88–5.04 for structural etiology and PRa 2.33, 95% CI 0.97–5.57 for unknown etiology) was observed (Figure 2 , Panel b). 4 Discussion Our study showed that dyslipidemia was the most frequent CRF and its presence was associated with EIAED therapy.
