Only 32 variants (7 BRCA1 and 25 BRCA2 ) were present in both cases and controls and these were analyzed for association with breast cancer risk (Tables 2 and 3 ). In the single-variant association testing using logistic regression, BRCA1 p.Arg762Ser was associated with breast cancer risk with a marginal significance (OR = 7.4; 95% CI, 0.9–62.3; p = 0.06) (Additional file 2 : Figure S1).
