When we compared the average methylation levels between MSI and MSS GC samples, only MLH1 showed statistically-significant differences associated with MSI status ( p -value = 0.1 × 10 −6 ), although CDKN2A and CDH1 showed a trend towards significance ( p -values of 0.05 and 0.09, respectively).
