However, one of these effects was nearing significance. 25 Being involved in decisions and discussing HT with a doctor were found to have no significant effects on persistence in two studies and a positive effect in one study. 48 However, being able to ask questions and understanding information, 10 self-efficacy in patient–physician interaction, 50 and receiving the right amount of support 48 were significantly related to increased persistence.
