Nifedipine, a Ca 2+ channel blocker with negative inotropic and chronotropic effects, showed a mild trend of reduction in the peak amplitude of field potential, a significant increase in the beat interval, and decrease in FPD ( Fig. 4c,f,i ), consistent with well-known clinical observations.
