There is an increasing trend toward using miRNAs as biomarkers for the diagnosis of cancers and as target molecules for cancer treatment [ 8 ]. miR-31 is a type of common miRNA, and its target genes are involved in the regulation of autophagy, according to a bioinformatic prediction of its target genes. miR-31 plays an important role in the development of colorectal cancer.
