Consensus from recent meta-analysis is that there is a modestly significant increased risk associated with development of pancreatic cancer for cag-A -negative H. pylori strain[ 9 - 11 , 39 ], with positive correlated adjustment factors including non-O blood type[ 37 , 43 ] and active smoking status[ 34 , 36 ].
