When animals that received nerve injury or pharmacological block were pooled together (one-way ANOVA; F(3,60) = 7.3, p = 0.0003) the increased responsiveness reached significance already in the first protocol after deafferentation (Dunnett test; p = 0.0289), transiently lost significance in the second protocol (p = 0.12) and was again highly significant in the third protocol (p<0.0001).
