A recent meta-analysis [ 70 ], including 7 RCTs and 10 observational studies, reported that there was a mild trend toward improved survival in favor of SLED-treated patients with AKI (RR 0.86; 95% CI 0.74–1.00), although the evidence was weak because of a lack of significant differences when RCTs were considered separately.
