As depicted in Table 1 a substantial increase in Hemoglobin was observed in group A (oral iron) rising from 91.4 ± 11 to 106.5 ± 10.3 g/L (Mean ± SD) as well as in group B (Intravenous iron) rising from 89 ± 10.7 to 106.4 ± 13 g/L (Mean ± SD) after 4 weeks with P value being < 0.0001 which was highly significant.
