Importantly, patients who were on concomitant statins at baseline or who never received statins during the study period exhibited persistent elevations in lipids after 3–4 months, whereas those patients who initiated statins post-baseline demonstrated gradual decreases in lipid levels over time, signaling a possible trend toward normalization of previously elevated lipids.
