In never-smokers, there were trends towards reduced hospital admission (HR 0.79, CI 0.59–1.06; p=0.113) and ED attendance (HR 0.71, CI 0.45–1.11, p=0.130) that failed to reach significance at the 5% level ( table 3 ).
