Thus, although MT-stabilizing agents and NSAIDs are different classes of biologically active compounds that interact with unrelated targets, the observed structural commonalities between these compounds suggest that there may be significant degree of crosstalk between the different pharmacophores that could be exploited to identify multitargeted ligands.
