We ran the analysis looking at gender differences in G6PD levels in both cut-off value of 5.7 and 8.05 U/g Hb for cord and peripheral blood samples and we found that there were equally highly significant differences ( p < 0.001) in the levels between males and females in both samples (Table 2 ).
