The results were close to significance and in agreement with previous reports indicating that Neospora seropositivity can be very stable through time and infected cows can show a variable rate of repeat abortions. 19 Also, cows with a history of previous abortion were more likely to abort than cows with no prior history of abortion. 20 Hence, culling of seropositive animals with one abortion could be considered as an option for limiting the economic losses due to this parasitic infection.
