Population expansions appear to have been more prominent in the southern part of the distribution, with highly significant negative F s values for the Gulf Coast ( F s = −24.98, p < 0.0001), and West Florida ( F s = −13.5, p < 0.0001), and with localities such as Cedar Key (CKFL) and Apalachicola (APFL) representing clear examples.
