In this study the prevalence of positivity for microalbuminuria in the urinary test was high, from 61 to 49.7%, and we managed to show a decreasing trend in the levels of microalbuminuria observed during the 48-weeks of observation, probably because of the criterion used for the diagnosis of microalbuminuria that allows to highlight even early alterations.
