Narrowband UVB treatment is highly effective and causes a strong reduction in the use of steroid and other creams in psoriasis patients in clinical practice.

As shown in Fig 3 (top), we observed a highly significant reduction in the number of patients receiving psoriasis-related topical prescriptions within a year after completion of NB-UVB treatment, while no such effect was noted for blood pressure, depression, or other drug prescriptions unrelated to psoriasis ( Fig 3 , top right).
