The fact that circulating ADMA is elevated preceding the onset of preeclampsia not only supports that elevated ADMA may be involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, but more importantly suggests that measuring of ADMA may be significant for the early identification of pregnant women who are at risk for preeclampsia.
