For example, with a variation of the functional groups at the surfaces of UiO-66(Zr), UiO-66(Zr)-NH 2 and UiO-66(Zr)-2COOH, their adsorption performances demonstrate an increasing trend, probably resulting from the more favorable formation of acid-base or/and hydrogen-bond interactions between UiO-66(Zr)-2COOH and verapamil than those from UiO-66(Zr) and UiO-66(Zr)-NH 2 .
